How to go about setting up an appointment…

Call 425-462-2531 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. If you reach us after hours, or you reach a recording during our regular hours, simply leave us a message and we will return your call as soon as possible to schedule an appointment.

To help us achieve a high level of satisfaction for all of our patients, we have developed the following office policies.

1. Medication refills: Medication can only be refilled during your visit with our provider. We prescribe enough medication until we feel you need to be seen again in our clinic.

2. Cancellations: We respectfully request that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you cannot keep your appointment so that the time slot can be offered to another patient. The fee for "no shows" or cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment is $150.

3. Important Patient Responsibilities: If labs, x-rays or other tests are ordered it is your responsibility to make an appointment to ensure all results are discussed in person. We cannot assume responsibility for patients who do not follow up in our clinic as recommended or do not follow our recommendation for getting labs or other tests required for monitoring high risk medications.

4. Referrals to other healthcare providers: To ensure appropriate referrals to other specialists or medical services, you will need to be evaluated first in person. It is your responsibility to find out if your particular health insurance plan requires additional preauthorization. Please check the back of your insurance card for helpful telephone numbers.

5. Phone calls: Unfortunately, we cannot accurately diagnose or treat over the phone. We also recommend that you make an appointment so that we can discuss your test results in person. This allows us to answer your questions in greater detail and to continue discussing future plans of action. We will make every effort to accommodate urgent medical problems on short notice. If your healthcare provider feels that you must see Dr. Romanick for an urgent consultation, please have your doctor call Dr. Romanick directly.

6. Visit length: Please share your medical concerns with us at the beginning of the visit. We may not be able to address issues brought up as the visit is coming to a close to your satisfaction. This may also lead to unnecessary waits for patients coming after you which, in turn, places additional burden on our staff to stay on schedule.

7. We do appreciate your patience in the waiting room. At times, Dr. Romanick may be held up due to phone calls from other healthcare providers, from the Emergency Room or urgent in-hospital consultations. We apologize for any inconvenience or extended wait time. Please be assured that we will be as comprehensive in your care when it is yo
ur turn to be seen.

8. Notes or Letters: Notes or letters requested can only be addressed in person at an appointment. There is an extra charge for requested notes or letters depending on length and complexity.

9. Coughing and Sneezing: Out of respect for our staff and other patients, many of whom are taking immunosuppressive drugs, please cover your nose and mouth if you are sneezing and coughing. Our front office staff would also be happy to provide you with a mask. Thank you for your consideration.
